Writing to learn: how we correct your writing

Learning a language without writing in it is like studying swimming without getting wet. Here’s how correction works at the Clinic: AI first, then a teacher.

Learning a language without writing in it is like studying swimming without getting wet. At the Clinic we believe writing is one of the best medicines: when you write, your Spanish moves from theory to your own hand, and that’s where what really fails shows up — and gets healed.

Prompts at your level, not exercises in a vacuum

In the Writing section we don’t just say «write 200 words». Each prompt trains a real genre for your level, following the Instituto Cervantes curriculum: a postcard at A1, an anecdote at B1, an opinion piece at B2, an essay with sources at C2. You write something people actually write in real life.

The first correction is by AI, instantly

Your first piece is corrected by La Doctora (our AI) in seconds: it flags the most relevant mistakes, gives you an improved version of your own text and a couple of concrete tips, with links to the pills that suit you. It’s instant, and it respects your level: it doesn’t raise the bar artificially.

The rest, a real teacher

From the second one on, you choose. You can stay with the AI (fast, always available) or send your text to the teacher’s queue for a hand correction. Because some things — nuance, voice, the «that’s correct but a native wouldn’t say it» — a human eye sees better. The teacher’s correction is part of your tutoring; the AI is the quick complement.

And everything is saved

Each piece, with its correction, is saved in your history and you can download it as PDF. Watching your own progress — from «me have much hungry» to a well-stitched paragraph — is one of the most motivating things there is.

Writing is scary at first: the fear of getting it wrong. At the Clinic a mistake isn’t a fail, it’s the raw material. So open Writing, pick a prompt and let your hand loose. Your first correction is waiting, and it’s free.
