Granada has almost everything — but not quite everything: no sea, no Mezquita, no Giralda, no hundred-metre gorge. The good news: all of that is under three hours away. That's why the Clínica is launching "De Granada a…" (From Granada to…): day trips with Spanish missions at every stop, just like our city routes.
The getaways
🕌 Córdoba — the other capital of al-Andalus
The AVANT train drops you in 1.5 h in front of the Mosque-Cathedral: the forest of columns that completes what the Alhambra tells you. Star mission: asking your way to the mihrab with your very best courtesy.
💃 Seville — the capital of the Guadalquivir
About 3 h by bus to the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, the Real Alcázar (the Alhambra's first cousin — comparing them IS the mission) and Triana at sunset.
🌉 Ronda — the city on the gorge
2 h 45 by bus to the Puente Nuevo and its abyss. Here the mission is giving a nuanced opinion on Spain's oldest bullring: "me parece…, aunque entiendo que…".
🌊 Málaga — Picasso and the sea
The beginner's getaway: 1.5 h, buses all day long, and you end up eating an espeto on the beach. Level A2-B1: perfect as your first trip in Spanish.
🫒 Úbeda and Baeza — the Renaissance (and Machado)
Two World Heritage towns among olive groves, with the classroom where the poet Antonio Machado taught French. For B2 level and quiet souls.
How the missions work
Every stop gives you something to say right there: buying the ticket, asking for an olive-oil tasting, reacting to a Picasso. You tick it off in the app, you can upload a photo or an audio as evidence (it goes to your portfolio) and, back home, you write your field notebook and get it corrected.

House tip: start with Málaga (easy), follow with Córdoba (essential) and save Seville for when your Spanish is ready for long conversations. Ronda, for the day you need vertigo.
